The latest update shows that we still have nine guys on the treatment table heading into the game with you come Friday.
According to my mate, we've not beaten you since that 1998 encounter at Runcorn when the sun was cracking the flags, so we're overdue a win!
What will your reaction be following Dewsbury? Will Kear have read the riot act?
Looking forward to seeing you all, and sending you home disappointed! 🤣
Spelly.
@spelly Have you named a squad yet as I cannot see it posted anywhere?
Also have you still got the props on loan from Saints.?

1) Yeah we have mate, and a couple are returning from injury.
2) No, as Delaney is in the 21 named by Saints for the game at the Piedome, and as Walmsley is injured, I reckon he'll be in the 17. From what I've seen of him in a Lions' shirt, he's an outstanding prospect.
We're overdue a win against you, so nowt personal, but................
COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
Spelly.
I'm not hiding away. My comments on today are on the Widnes page.
Spelly.
@spelly How many of your 1 to 17 were you missing from our game Spelly?
We had a good win but I am uncertain how good it really was especially if your team was particularly weak.
@geoffw It was a good win, no matter which way you look at it; and a positive reaction to the Dewsbury defeat.
There were some on here who predicted a Widnes defeat, after losing convincingly to a League 1 team. Widnes can only play the team put out in front of them and put in a decent performance, even with few of our players missing.
Why can't we just celebrate a winning performance and 4th place in a competitive league? We are quick on here to criticise players when they lose, but slow to give credit for a win and what certainly looked like a decent performance.
What we need now is for this form to be carried forward into the next game and beyond.
@frankg I agree it was a much better performance & I did thoroughly enjoy the game watching in the sunshine.
However it would be interesting to know how weak they actually were to assess our performance better. I know Bennion the prop was missing but I am not familiar with their strongest 17 at all.

We're getting there mate, but the likes of Lepori, and Brickhill who'd be in the team if they were fit, haven't featured at all so far this term.
Bennion has been sorely missed since his injury, as he is the cornerstone of our pack, but......
C'est la vie, coz injuries are always gonna happen coz of the physicality of the game we all love, and I'm not making them as excuses for Friday coz you stuffed us
Spelly.
George Roby is back with us on loan from Hudds for the remainder of the season.
He was a real hit last term (again on loan) until he was injured.
A spell at Odsal has not worked out, so he's a Lion again, and I would imagine he'll be in the line up to play Shell on Monday!
Spelly.
So it's Sheff away tomorrow for us, and it won't be easy!
They're playing well at present, and we're not, but...........
Can we upset the odds, and the Prediction League?
COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!!!
Spelly
Eagles 16-6 Lions, and there are times when you think "There's no justice!"
Worked our socks off, and had two tries disallowed against a team that stuffed Toulouse!
Biased as I am (aren't we all?) but I thought we were worth a draw at least this evening!
If we can replicate performances like that in future games, there's no doubt in my mind that we can stay up!
Proud to a Lion!
Spelly.
@spelly unlucky there - deserved a draw, I don’t understand how Sheffield stuffed us, surely one man don’t make a team - Thackeray
Hi Spelly, I went to Swinton on Good Friday, and parked as your club website said I could, in the Little B pub car park. But today I’ve got a letter saying I’ve got to pay a £60 fine for parking there.
Can you tell me who is right, and if you can’t park there, you had better tell the club to alter their website telling away fans to park there.

In a word mate - I don't know for sure but I've asked the club, and they've told me the management at the Little B have okayed it to park there on match days, and the suggestion is that you take it directly with the pub.
Sorry to be so vague, but I hope this helps a bit.
Spelly.
@farnworth-viking I recently went to a pub in Birkdale where I had to enter my vehicle registration on a console inside the pub to ensure I did not receive a parking fine. I do not know if the Swinton pub is the same though. As Spelly says your best bet is to approach the pub stating the Swinton Club said you could park there on match days & send proof of that if you have it.
