Lions 0-40 Knights this aft, and as the old saying goes - "We were lucky to get nil!"

Ten in the treatment room, inc all three hookers, but there's no excuse for falling off tackles like we did, and we never looked like scoring. It was just one of those days!

I can't recall when we were last nilled at home, but...........

It wasn't the best of afternoons for you mob either, I would imagine!

You seem to be two different teams so far Spelly. Admittedly, you've played teams I'd have expected you to lose against and won, but also teams I thought you'd beat but lost to.

So (and given your injury list), which team do you think will see out the rest of the season? The one that keeps you up, or the one that's the "plucky loser"?

(I only ask because, like many others, your team is buggering up my predictions!) 😡

The club have just posted an update on the injury list, and as there's no DRs on Sunday, coz it's the cup (their words, not mine) " ----- down to the bare bones."

Following the Barrow game, we host Fev, which I'm not holding my breath for, then it's a trip "down the smoke" and after our last two league games, it has to be a "must win" fixture for us!

We knew before a ball was kicked, it wasn't going to be easy, but the eternal optimist in me, still prevails!

COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!

@spelly Your lot are messing up my prediction league forecasts big time. I don't think I have predicted any of your results correctly yet!

Seriously though yesterday excepted you must be delighted with your start to the season. Hope you can maintain it to stay up.

From a squad of twenty seven, nine are ruled out for Sunday, so .......................

As the old saying goes "Don't arrive too early, or you might get a game!"

It's easy to say, but after our last two woeful performances, things can only get better for us up at CP.

So the Wembley Dream starts yet again on Sunday!

We've not won the Cup since 1928, and not been in the final since 1932, but hope springs eternal when you're a Lion!

Mid morning start for Craven Park, allowing plenty of time for lunch at Weatherspoon's.

COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raiders 32-14 Lions at a nippy Craven Park today, and the Wembley dream is put on hold for another twelve months!

We have a shed-load of injuries, but we managed to get seventeen to play today, but I'm far from convinced they were all fully fit!

We led 10-0, and dared to dream, but that was as good as it got, and we didn't trouble the scorers again until the dying moments, when the game had (long) gone.

The effort was there, and we clapped 'em off at the end, but (especially with the Pinks stuffing FC) I've had better weekends.

Fev come a-calling next week, and they'll be stinging after ducking to 'Fax today, so.............

Words like "breath" "holding" "my" and "not" spring to mind!

Captain Rhodri Lloyd has now joined the injury list!

We've almost as many in the treatment room, as those that are available!

Hopefully we'll have a couple back on DR against Fev, as of course, Saints didn't want any of their squad cup-tied.

The (Super League bound?) Post Office Roaders are at our gaff on Sunday, so can we spring an upset?

'Fax did a job on 'em in the Cup, but Riley Dean (who looks like a real quality footballer) should be back in their ranks after missing last week for the same reason that we were Saints-less.

Even so early in the proceedings, it's looking like your opponents or ours this weekend will be dining at the top table next year.

COME ON YOU LIONS!!

Lions 6-34 Fev this aft, and no complaints at all from me for the effort we showed.

Riley Dean once again displayed what a quality footballer he is becoming, and whilst we were momentarily back in it at 10-6, Long's Lads won with a bit to spare to be frank.

Both sides put a lot of ball down, and a classic it wasn't, but the result was never really in doubt.

Darn the Smoke for us next week, and another new ground to add to my CV, as we play the Broncos at Wimbledon.

To make matters worse today, 'Haven won at York, and to rub salt into the wound, the Pinks beat Wakey in Golden Point!

We're at the Broncos on Sunday, and we both sit on P6, W2, L4, so a win is essential for both of us, to not get dragged into the relegation zone.

Our treatment room is still very busy, but hopefully, we can one or two of 'em fit for the trip to Wimbledon.

Batley did us a favour today, by keeping Barrow as cellar dwellers, but a victory darn the Smoke will do us no harm at all!

COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!!

Injuries are part and parcel of our game, we all accept that, but an update today from the Lions, lists thirteen players currently in the treatment room!

They vary from "long term" "several weeks" "Sunday is probably too soon" to "could possibly feature against the Broncos"

We are of course aided with our DRs, and loanees, so I might just avoid pulling on my boots at the weekend! 😀

Just got back 15 hours, and 436 miles, after. leaving this morn!

Broncos 16-14 Lions. So near yet so far.

Our one missed pen proved the diff between the sides, and we could've pinched it at the end, but the last  pass went astray.

The team was made up of loanees, DRs, and squad members, illustrating just how thin on the ground we are, but c'est la vie mes amis!

It's the Cup next week, so no game for us now until you mob on Good Friday, when hopefully, we'll have one or two back on the park instead of on the treatment table!
