I see, spelly, that Owen Buckley has extended his loan period with Swinton.

How did he do in his game for you - apart from scoring a try, that is.

Nowt memorable to be honest mate, but neither was anything else in that game! But.............

We're at York (again) on Sunday, and can we finally break our duck?

Including Wembley, they're now on P6, L6 since beating us in the semi, so hopefully we can extend that to P7, L7.

We've gotta win one soon, surely!

Setting off reasonably early, to grab a spot of lunch at one of of those pub / restaurants on the A64.

Spelly.

Owen's party piece is collecting the high kick to the corner, but we never seemed to set it up for him. Hope he gets  a decent run.

We're (over)due a win, but Ford's Fellas are not gonna lie down for us, coz they're on a bad run as well, having ducked in every game since spoiling 0ur Wembley aspirations, and they'll be desperate to end that.

As ever, W, L, or D, my biased report will appear right here!

Knights 46-10 Lions this aft, and as Brian Noble once said, and I've repeated since. "It started bad, and got worse!"

They kicked off, our lad slid into touch, and they scored from the resultant set!

We were soon 16-0 down, and it was already game over.

It was (at best) a makeshift  who took the field for us, and I'm sure more than one of 'em wasn't fully fit, but we still should've given a better show than what the (small) Swinton following had to endure, against a team that before today, were on a P6, L6 since beating us in the semi.

It's grim being a Swinton fan at present, and I don't think you'll find a single one of us who reckons we'll stay up!

We're at Dewsbury next week, and I'm not holding my breath!

This is not sour grapes coz we deservedly got stuffed, but the stewarding / orgainisation at York is a joke!

Not sure if you're still to go there, but just a bit of warning, and..........

I realise it's a stadium problem, rather than the Knights themselves, but....................

My ticket had row and seat number on it, as I booked it online, but when I showed it to a steward outside,  he said "That's your turnstile, when you're in, sit where you want." But..........

Once inside, a lady steward insisted I sat in my designated seat! Then........

Just after the kick-off, a Lion I know well said "I got in for nowt. There was still a big queue at the ticket office coming up to 3.00, so they opened up the big gate, and let us in!" "How many of you?" I asked "I reckon about a hundred!"

100 x £15 at least? Over a grand and a half that they missed out on!

Just been announced that Swinton and Stuart Littler have "parted company".

Let's see what sort of reaction we get on the Park at Dewsbury on Sunday!

I don't honestly know mate. Craig Bellamy? LOL

Whoever it is, he won't be on mega money. So looking at the financial side, if Coleman can pull in a win or two before end of term, and with potentially easier games next season, he could go from temporary, to getting the job permanently.

Good luck to whoever you get, we need to keep all the Lancashire clubs in the Championship, not forever obviously.

Tomorrow, Coleman almost has a "free hit" whatever the result.

I would imagine Dews are more worried than us, and have more to lose, coz nobody wants to be our first "victims" and they're our opening opponents post Littler.

Call me stubborn (or worse) but I won't admit we're down until the maths say so, and a win tomorrow, would extend that date.

The Royal Oak, which is just a bit down the hill from the ground, serves an exo Sunday lunch, and our table is already booked.

It looks like we have a few more available for selection tomorrow than we have for a while, which is good news for us.

The cynics would say that the timing is odd, and I'm the first to admit, it's an easy / obvious comment to make, but if they can propel us to our first league win of the campaign, I'm not gonna complain!

COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!!!

Congratulations Spelly.  Great result for Swinton. Are they now on a winning streak?
