What's the obsession with these?
It seems to be almost the norm now in the NRL to "go short" from a re-start between the sticks, so am I missing summat blatantly obvious?
During the current game on the NRL, the Sharks messed one up.
It's also creeping in in over here, but I must admit the last two I witnessed, made me smile hugely!
A couple of weeks ago, Sneyd tried one for the Pinks against Pies, which spectacularly backfired, and.............
In Toulouse last week, the hosts ****ed up, which led to a four-pointer for us.
Your comments / opinions please!
Spelly.
Halifax tried one in the second half today. We caught it and started our attack on the 40m line instead of the 10 metres.
Daft move!
Leeds now tried one, and ****** it up!
I honestly cannot see the point in it!

It's baffling. Even if you win it, you're 90m from your opponent's line and will be kicking again in a minute anyway. If you lose it, they're 10m from your line with 6 tackles in hand.
It could be worth trying it, if there’s only a couple of minutes left and you need to score again to win the match, it would stop the other team wasting a minute then kicking into touch. But most of the time I wouldn’t bother.
