They’ve written to fans to say they have no money, and owe money to the Taxman, due next week, and couldn’t pay the players last week. They’re asking for help with donations or loans.
With Whitehaven also in trouble, it looks like there could be other clubs in trouble soon, unless the RL step in to help.

There will be no Championship in 5 years, RL in general needs to return to part-time. Not enough people care.
I've said this a million times. Between RL and RU there are about 12 teams Nationally who could play each other to death and that's it. No-one gives 2 sh*ts. The rest of the clubs are going to the wall in a professional environment. Including us.
We need to forge a semi-pro league with the normal teams in the Championship and Leagues 1 and 2 and see how that goes. SL is nonsense. We will never be in it.
Unfortunately, RL as we know it, knew it, won it, will never come back. Widnes needs to be PT with other like-minded Northern clubs to at least provide something of interest. If you're a pro player, try and get a Union central contract otherwise prepare for a PT career.
