Some pretty harsh words in the League Express correspondence columns today regarding the behaviour of Fev supporters on their own patch.
I can't recall if there is anything laid down yet but I can't see IMG wanting this sort of stuff imported into Super League under their banner. They are looking for a polished civilised sport.
Seems like a bit of a non story to me

Agreed. This guy clearly has an agenda given he starts off his letter with an incident that happened in the 1950s!
It's true that we at Fev have some fans whose behaviour sometimes falls below acceptable standards, and the club have done lots to try and address that and have made it clear they won't accept it. Indeed, there was allegedly an incident involving some unpleasantness at the Sheffield game last night.
There are a lot of clubs with similar issues with a minority of its fans though, including SL clubs, and the Halifax fan might want to go and stand in the south stand at the Shay at some point before getting too upset about "filthy" language. Halifax fans do tend to have a very jaundiced view of Fev fans, and I can understand that as a lot of it stems back to one incident at the 2011 Grand Final which was certainly a shocking one. Some of them don't help matters, mind you, the repeated descriptions of Fev fans as "scum" on Facebook in the build-up to the recent game isn't going to mend any broken bridges.
The vast majority of Fev fans are just like other RL fans up and down the country, and at pubs both in Featherstone and at away games you'll regularly see them happily chatting away with fans of other teams.
Problem behaviour at Fev and all clubs does need to be addressed, but there's a very specific problem between Fev and Fax fans that goes back some time - I've never seen the slightest bit of trouble or name-calling for instance when Fev visit Batley or vice versa, for instance.
Not downplaying any incidents, just putting them into perspective, a small number of idiots doesn't define the club.
@lord-lucan wait till we get to a big game mate, then you'll see some badly behaved fans 😄😄😄
