I see WVIPs have donated £50,000 to the club for players and it definitely shows these funds can be essential at getting some players over the line to sign a contract. I think the Quiz nights and the more members on board could make us one of the biggest spenders next season. This could put us in the picture for Super League, especially if can stay near the top of the league for when the goal posts change, or if a club in Super League go into difficulties without a backer pumping money. It be interesting how many members we have now.
There are 262 members giving £37,260 a year. This gives an average of £123 13p given by each member over the year.I see WVIPs have donated £50,000 to the club for players and it definitely shows these funds can be essential at getting some players over the line to sign a contract. I feel this is definitely a way to raise money to improve the quality of our squad. The minimum amount is only £5 per month but one can of course pledge more. I know many families are suffeting under the continuing cost of living rises & spare cash is at a premium but a fiver a month is only the cost of a pint these days.
It's wether we can count the vip money in our calculations for the salary cap they haven't released the details yet !
as how Will Newcastle survive on there own money unless York put in a substantial amount every year which is against competition surely

Yeah i came out and rejoining again, so that will hopefully be 263 members which can not be knocked mate. The extra quiz nights and entertainment at the club can also add money. I understand many families are struggling, but the good thing you can join as little as £5 a month which is the cost of a pint of beer. If we can boost the numbers to 400 that would be the goal, which is basically what some teams average a game in this league. Hopefully this can add extra for our funds compared to other teams so we have the stronger squad.
I use to purchase merchandise but the club doesn’t send out to the states anymore
Got a question about this that people far better placed can answer ....I and probably many have seen the WVIPS and formerly VIQI donations as a top up to an existing squad budget ..to extend the budget ..to further strengthen recruitment ability ...now under the upcoming budget constraints are these funds now going to be just inserted into the general budget ....as in the playing budget reportedly being 400k and the club fronting 350 of it and using these monies as a way to filter money into other areas of the club ...that the money isn't meant for ....not mischief just curious?
Surely it can't be used in calculations as varying amounts of income each year but ..... it depends what type of club you are you can guarantee Donny and sheff are looking at ways around the cap ( which they wanted) as their turnover would be on the low side or like us just tie the line of rules
to push over the million pound threshold and a guaranteed bigger cap twinny would be better putting money into sponsorship if club pushing our turnover up in my opinion
I read that The budget is 500k due to dispensations,
@spideylizard that's current contract dispensations that'll go after first year
They just make up rules year on year so wouldn't worry about that yet 😉
@spideylizard you know what mate very true lol 😂 pointless trying to make a plan

Hopefully Mike Parsons or Tim Holmes can find out for the next Podcast? It has to be an advantage if we have more WVIPs members and bring some extra than other clubs in the league. Money talks getting the best players.
