Wilson and Green

Harvey Wilson and Lucas Green signed for Bradford on loan.

Both announced as season-long deals by Widnes in January. Both spent pre-season with Widnes. Hopefully it's a case of Coleman not fancying either them rather than anything else...

Or maybe just got announced to quiet the fans and add to the minimal squad we have. I have heard very good reviews for Green who is highly rated by both club and fans maybe Coleman hasn't a clue. Do you think our pitch played any part in it ?.

Strange decisions, Wilson recalled by the pies and shipped straight out !
the dud has gone to the pinks on a season long loan - interesting to see how many times he starts for them

@prisoner Why would they dual reg and loan us players if they were concerned about the pitch?  Not sure why we linked up with Wire as we never appear to have much luck with them.

Not sure about the pitch being the reason,it's been down for 12 years. It hasn't appeared overnight. It's not a great look for the club, youngsters from other clubs being taken back and sent elsewhere. There was Eckersley too, last season. Never saw much of Wilson apart from the young Warrington  lad bumping him off like a skittle to score a try in the pre season friendly.

That's the question I am asking but IMO its either because of the amateur set up we have or the pitch, any other reasons will be gratefully accepted.

Silence from the club in regards to this Hopefully just not required by us rather than anything more sinister.

Maybe because they aren't necessarily guaranteed starters?

Although I agree it's all a very strange business.

If they aren't guaranteed a place in the Widnes team then surely that would've been understood from the outset ?

@prisoner Probably the amateur set up of the club.

The whole concept of random loaning players belittles the Championship concept. Players can be playing alongside players who will be playing against them the following week.

This calls into question how much effect the game on the field should have, picking sides on the school playground was more 'professional', at least the teams were set!

Of course this also justifies the IMG method of looking beyond the 'team on the field' logic to decide which clubs are run in a wider sense.

@prisoner Warrington train on astroturf and only play on grass, so pitch of little consequence.
