Clubs always announce those who are leaving after the last game of the season. However, the club said on Monday that all their social media activity will be dedicated to Liam and rightly so.

The season only finished on Sunday and all 3 leagues playoffs are about to start so many top Championship players still involved in games. You may not want to announce a player is leaving the week before the biggest game of the season.
We have announced 4 good signings already, centre, hooker, prop and 2nd rower. Plus most of the starting 13 have been announced as new 1 or 2 year deals. Its mostly the squad players that haven't been announced. I'm happy with recruitment so far. The challenge will be to find 3 more good props.

Grady, Lawton, Sam Wilde already signed, Josh Wilde might sign too.
Plus taking into account that Grady and Sam Wilde will both be on shift rotas of some sort that we need to be able to rotate them with suitably experienced replacements.
Others may well have jobs which can mess up the team requirements.
Notice also that Davies is another Wiganer so more 'local'. Don't know if he was a Wigan academy product.
Regarding the sluggish announcements it has been mentioned on the club site that, out of respect for Liam, announcements would be curtailed for a while.
Another ex Saints academy so would fit the current pattern of signing ex Saints, hadn't heard of him personally. Doesn't look like the kind of player who can play prop or 2nd row, so I assume if we do sign him that will complete the signings in the back row.
I suppose it is a case of having a bit of depth too; at some points this season Edge and Brookes have played emergency 2nd row from the bench.
