Training at Salford?

Does anyone know why we have been training in Salford? Seems totally inconvenient.

I would assume an opposed training session. Neither team would want to train against a team in the same league as them. We seem to have fallen out with Warrington since they messed us about over last years season long loans.  Salford are a local side and we only have 1 pre season game so good preparation with oa few weeks to go until kick off.

If i remember correct we did this a few years ago when Salford came and played a friendly behind closed doors. It was broken up in to segments where we defended for twenty mins or so then they defended while we attacked for the same period. Its just a method of trying moves with short burst of contacts. Gets them match fit so to speak. We will know more in two weeks time when we see the team against Batley.

SF used to be Paul Rowley's trainer so I guess that is part of why we went to Salford tbf.

@royston-vasey perhaps to learn how things are done at a professional set up and learn new techniques which is a wise move. We may even be dual reg with Salford (but don't shoot the messenger).
