I would reckon that our best bet is to hold on for a while as we are.

The big money SL backers have shouted 'enough' and are hoping that the RFL/SL can sort the SL funding out, cutting their £1.5K annual handouts. That, in my view, will not be accomplished by making sure that Championship clubs are better financed! More likely that we get less.

That is when the Oldham style backers will have to think hard.

What does annoy me is that York do not declare their attendances. What bothers me is that this may well give them room to play games with figures when the IMG farce starts again.

IIRC Coleman, when he first signed, estimated that it would take possibly six years to stop the rot and get us into an accepted top six club. He still has that to do and getting cold feet after a couple of seasons won't help.

Anyone who cannot enjoy the game unless we are in SL, and at the top, may   have to consider a transfer to Saints or Wire!!!!

@begg After being sacked, what other punishment is there? Believe me, just not turning up for work is not a reasonable reason  to be sacked. IF he hase refused to play he is definitely in breach of contract, if he's asked for time off to look after a family member and the club has granted it, what has he done wrong? Until the club say what the circumstances are, we don't know.

Sounded like he had gone (AWOL) because the coach did not know why he is away from Training?. If that is the case yeah needs to be binned off. If for good reasons and the club know then obviously should not be sacked.

Confirmed by the club what we already knew he’s gone! Not really much said from the club for obvious reasons but it does sound like he’s forced there hand

What a waste of vip spending some of it on the coach.Whatever your opinion of Coleman I think we can all agree that money should be set aside for players only.As said earlier 22K doesn't go far but it will go even less far now.Early April is too soon to be handing out a new contract anyway.Could have waited til mid June at least, see how things go.

No I don't "think we can all agree" Totally agree with Flash on this. Existing players and signings in pipeline need to know who their coach will be

Well if this is the case then it shows why the performance and morale at the club is going down. All we are seeing is squad depth down to bare bones, and our better players leaving. It is time we had a money person, as it seems all other clubs do apart from Widnes?  Are the charlatans at the club actively looking for new investors because the marketing team is very poor at the club. No posters in Town or engagement to encourage new or old fans back again.

Those "charlatans" will be the ones who put their hands in their pockets to save the Club

Lannon has moved on and we signed the Aussie

the current state of rugby League DR  is not beneficial to championship clubs but without it we would not be able to field a team. Minimum 4 week loan be better

Not sure whether any money was paid to Coleman - where did that come from?
lannon has gone so his money is freed up, one assumes for the Aussie lad

we move forward now and put that behind us and wait to we play the Widnes old boys at boundary park
