Yes he said they had done some repairs to the pitch, and they are going to replace it at the end of next season.
It's ifs n buts but if akaoula is indeed coming there's some good depth in that front row with Murray chapelhow and bibby...each different in their own ways ...4 is surely the magic number for front rowers ....I for one would be happy with that quartet
How did tonight go if anyone could give us a breakdown... sounded like a good turnout and night
Nothing that everyone didn't really know. We have improved on our IMG figures, that said the RFL/IMG moved the goal posts re; the pillars, so hence why we didn't climb anywhere near we would have liked.
Bibby signing was announced, and other irons are in the fire.
Tim Holmes started by praising the Women's team on their achievements this season, and three of the team (& Coach) were in attendance with their trophies, as was a member of the Wheelchair team that won a trophy yesterday.
TH vision for the Club is get our games as attractive as we can, to re-engage with the lapsed & new fanbase in the Town. If he can get the NW Corner open again, it will be a KPI that our crowds have improved.
SM was in praise of the Council, as they have assisted in getting the minor tweaks done to the stadium, that were an IMG shortfall, last year.

Yeah i would be happy with that too. Bent the 5th choice prop and i do not want to see Lawton again at prop. He is more effective in the back row running at the edges. Great no dual registration and if suffer with injuries use the loan system.
At the moment, all I'm seeing is the likes of Sheffield etc really strengthening with high quality players coming from the promoted teams and SL teams who have just made the cut.
As it stands right now, the club have not improved the team at all since last year, so unless something happens quickly there's going to be a lot of disgruntled fans, and not much demand for season tickets.
J.Chapelhow > Bennion
Abdull (if fit) > Patton (unreliable)
Taylor (young, speedster) > Williams (age against him)
Bibby?
I'd say that's an improvement, if only slightly. It's all personal opinion, mind

I guess that with the promotions etc there will be some bargaining by agents etc to cover player changes hence delays in some announcements.
Agree with paulie....our recruitment up to now is light years better than 12 months ago ...even a half fit abdull is a country mile better than Patton ...his kicking game is exceptional both long and short and the bombs he puts up will have opposition wingers and FBs bricking it .... ultimately there's still four more to come in so think that'll be the time to judge on a whole ... personal opinion as I've said before I can't see any of the 4 being any major signings ...will the squad be better than 12 months ago YES....will it have us challenging for trophies... NOT A CHANCE...
@cumbria-viking You say not challenging for trophies but York, Toulouse and Bradford have gone up. We finished a very disappointing 7th, but take away those 3 and we finish 4th. The team coming down are usually strong but that won't be the case with Salford and Featherstone one of the teams above us are in a whole heap of trouble financially.
Its only London and Oldham really, we should be finishing 3rd next season so could challenge. I don't think what we have signed so far has strengthened us that much, but it has slightly.
Bibby is better than Riley and Kirk who didn't perform. Chapelhow is better than Bennion who stepped up from Swinton/ Rochdale but didn't end up being picked in the first choice 17 when we had a full squad. Abdull is a gamble signing, as was Patton. Both good players with a good kicking game that have played at the highest level. Abdull could be brilliant, but at this stage it's an unknown after 12 months out and adjusting to a part time environment. The centre signing from North Wales sounds promising but you would think Owens and Edge will start as first choice.
So all things considered with 18 of last years squad retained I don't think we will see a massive difference. But the league should be easier with 3 good teams promoted and 10 League 1 teams coming in, so we have to be challenging. If we finish 5th or 6th next season and make the play offs it's actually not as good as this year. We absolutely have to finish in the top 4.
I think if we get another big prop, winger and a few back rowers I would say our squad will be better than last year. Also I feel it will be important how well we use the loan system to our advantage. Will Roberts, Bibby and Bennison I do think were definitely good loan options last season. They helped us last year and improved us as a team.
I wouldn't agree that recruitment is 'light years' better.James has posted on Twitter that a former player has signed.
