@cumbria-viking I wasn’t aiming that at you in particular, just in general about those particular teams, we can’t really challenge them to those signings because they’ll not come this way for PT rugby

On my calculation going on what was reported at the recent meeting we are financed for a 26 man squad leaving 1 more player yet to be announced. That player has got to be a specialised prop.

@geoffw I thought the term used was a squad of 25/26 ....if that was the case I wouldn't be surprised we're done .....but if another's coming in and I was a betting man I'd put my wonga on it being another youngster...

According to James there could be another Aussie arrival, hope so👍

“There had been speculation of another arrival from Australia, to join Jake Maizen and Morgan McWhirter, though nothing has yet come to fruition”

At the forum it was said Bibby had signed and 4 offers on the table.  Since then 3 have signed so you would say one more to come. That player could have singed elsewhere, a return of 3 from 4 is good. Whatever happens we have to sign a prop before the season starts from somewhere. The rest of the squad is well covered.

@dan1 that may well have been Matty gee ..was reported a contract offer had been made but he chose to retire ... Fingers crossed there's one more of decent quality ..an overseas player would definitely be class

I am reading on the BBC Sport website that York Knights have signed an Aussie prop, Ryan Jackson and Leeds Rhinos have signed an Aussie forward Jeremiah Mata'utia. Between them they didn't make one competitive appearance in the NRL last season. They may turn out to be decent as they are only young but it goes to show what a dearth of home grown talent there is out there if Superleague teams are having to sign Aussie 2nd stringers.

@leggie I'm sure Scott could be persuaded to swap the suburbs of Sydney for Widnes in winter 😂
