Wilde I suppose would have very limited scope for game time with the list of signings we have seen, in addition to the current back-row signed up. If we were able to have reserves, then it may have been different.
Hill can't begrudge going to Saints. My mind goes back to when we got the license and Mike Rush was on the radio saying something along the lines of he wasn't overly happy Widnes got back in SL because at the time it was rich pickings for them. The player is always going to make the move but it is convenient that the successful player production line isn't there anymore at Widnes.
Buckley has not kicked on for me, a spell playing every week in L1 may be the best for him.
Cross and Hatton are losses, but if Ince and Holroyd play to their ability/potential I don't see a massive problem.
Also is tomkins full time ? If he is and has a firefighter job, with the shift system that would make him unavailable for quite a few games - breach of contract ?

As an aside, I can see Cross coming back, possibly even next year on loan.

Always liked him, a Simone but an effective centre, Commit the defender and play in the winger. Had some very good games for us including, Cas and Warrington away.
Think his injury troubles have stopped him from kicking on think he has great ability can kick goals and a fair bit of pace about him, maybe one I could see back in the future

Tilleke has resigned and club in discussions with Hulme.
That’s good news James I did think Tileke would stay, however was starting to feel hulme was struggling with his job however if we can secure hulme as well as fozzard and Gregory we look strong at hooker, thought hulme was fantastic especially given he got threw in right at the deep end and for me was brilliant! I would leave the retentions there then personally.
Assuming the imminent announcement of Tilleke and Hulme, that just leaves Else, Roby and Edge from the current squad. Else was the player who seemed most likely to move on to another club and it may be his agent is pursuing a move. If he doesn't move, I would hope that we would re-sign him as a half-back, as well as cover for hooker. I would also keep Edge. Never let us down when he played.
If Tomkins is fit and available to play. he would be a welcome "addition" to the squad. If not, they may as well pay him off and let him go, with some restriction on him playing for another club in 2022. No doubt he would soon re-appear at Leigh!!!!
