I'd be looking to a full back with real pace,breaking into the line.Not over confident that Farnworth will still be with us,either.

@sinbad have you heard farnworth is going somewhere? Yes I believe Owens best days are behind him but widnes/finney keep their lads going

If top 4 is  a genuine aspiration then I wouldn't have field ..grady or hulme ...as much as it won't happen the squad needs a major overhaul ...by sound of things tho near 90% are staying n just 3 or 4 new faces coming in...if that's the case we'll do well to even make play offs...all ifs n buts atm tho

Fleming would be my first choice full back next year, although I can’t see it happening.

Kear seems to like Bent for his defensive work, so presume he’ll be our 13 next year.

We’ve got to bring in 2 quality centres. The ones we’ve got either aren’t good enough or are always injured.

Not too sure we should be after Dixon, either. Doesn’t strike me the type of player that will do well under Kear.

As an aside, heard Roby will be leaving.

Not heard anything but his performances won't have gone un-noticed.

@blue-viking That’s the club I heard too. Be a shame, thought Roby had something about him.

Halifax reporting Tyrer has retired.

Roby and farnworth would be a loss, tyrer deserves his retirement. Well what centers should we be looking at and who’s available

What about Owens moving to center?

Shame about roby but we have owens and Fleming at full back and he’s not the best centre either and at his age probably feels he needs to play regularly maybe if he didn’t get injured things may be different as for us with increased funds we need to be leaving more than a few players behind and improve on quality think both roby and tyrer fall into that category

Think it sums the clubs communications up that another club is announcing our own players retirement

@sinbad

Leeds reported as 'interested'.

@sandgroper I wouldn’t be surprised but he has been out of full time rugby for a while so he’d be way down as a squad player, mainly playing reserves. I guess we’d get a few for him but I’d like to see us retain him

I like the look of Lachlan Warmsley who was on the left wing for Halifax on Monday.  Saw him up at Whitehaven last season.  He looks like he is a decent player. 2nd rower King from 'haven looks handy also. Maby JK can pick some players up from the world Cup??
