He’s become the next player to extend his contract, in the drip drip of players.

Hopefully he’ll be fully fit next season, thought he was playing well before his injury.

Young and has potential, needs coaching and good players around him and he should show his worth.

We need a top rated Strength and Conditioner otherwise we'll have a 'soft' team.

Sandgroper  I wonder departing strength and conditioner is down to all our injuries. Definitely need a good one next season. Joe Edge decent retention for next season.

Glad he has re-signed, we missed him during the latter part of the season.

@sandgroper unfortunately we only seem to shop in the newly qualified market for these types of roles, who then move on to a better offer at the end of a season or 2 as ours has done

True, though experience alone isn't a sure fire success if it wasn't good experience. Young trainers might know the latest ideas etc.

By all accounts Bent has  a connection with a gym, he even said that he might over-train because he enjoys the gym work so much.(Takes all sorts!!)

From times past I have it that Colin Whitfield was our hardest task master, believing that running was the key to beating fatigue. He had the lads running all over town!!

An Aussie might be an option?

When it comes to strength and conditioning the coach can only do so much in a part time position

we need a leader in the team who sets the standard, bringing in a new player who has been in a full time environment could inspire the team to step it up but only if we find the right player for the right price and who wants to play for widnes so good luck with that. We’ll be in the championship for at least the next 5 years so we have time to build, hopefully the fans can see that and also are happy to stick with the club
