Well I think all would have taken a draw before the game

but 16 nil up you would think we could have won that

i feel we are struggling with numbers and some players are carrying injuries

listening, seems like gregson had a good game - at last

alfie for them - wire player that was here - says it all, bin the dire arrangement far better of with saints

I enjoyed being at that game. disappointed with a draw but happy not to lose.

I think changing of kicker for the last attempt was daft but such is life.

Can’t argue with their tries but first one was a forward pass for me, and a killer right on the hooter. Defensively much better and discipline was very good in general

@cuerdley-viking Honestly I think we can only win 3 or 4 more games this season with the current squad which probably would mean finishing 10th & in the relegation play offs. I think we would survive but not where we want to be.

@johng The number of games where we've ended up losing/drawing after being in front at half time suggests, apart from having too small a squad, a lack of fitness and a lack of game management and adequate coaching

The irony that a Warrington player scored twice for them on loan is a joke.

Thought the try for them on half time was the key moment and our lack of pressure on Hansen for large parts of the game was disappointing.

Equally, until we find a way of replacing Kirk and Reilly we will have to scrap in games to get results and at least we have got 3 points from the last 4.

Half way through the season now and if we put some decent results together we are still well within range of 5th or 6th but we won't make it of we don't get more options and our lapses in concentration continue.

I'd say it's not the lack of fitness that let us down - but we defo "switched off" after the break.

I just can't understand how after playing quite well in the first half we lost the plot for about 30 minutes or so following the coaches half time pep talk!

@bladerunner correct mate a lot of the time we look to panic and can’t control the game even when leading, Gilmore in the 1st half kicked the ball into touch with around 5 mins to go to kill the clock than with about a minute left he dinks a crap kick to the fax back line they make a half break and go up field and make it 16-6 at halftime from absolutely nothing I think that gave them the confidence to go on and play how they did. We really struggled to gain momentum in the 2nd half and didn’t really have any leaders on the pitch. We also seem to nullify maizen and kill his running game

@berkeleyviking  I am just being realistic. With our depleted squad & unless it is strengthened 8 more points is probable. Batley, Hunslet, London & Doncaster at home hopefully, & the latter is by no means a certainty. I expect Sheffield to overtake us with their recent strengthening. 20 points may get us 9th & out of the relegation play offs that I am confident we should survive any way

@scouseviking55  Have you seen the remaining fixtures? If we strengthen we could do better but losing 2 first choice props & not replacing them (so far) puts us in this position. Lawton is not permanent & we cannot treat anyone from Warrington as reliable  either on what has happened so far with the farcical dual registration deal & how they have operated it. We were supposed to be their tie up side but since then they have Halifax & Keighley on the same arrangement. One scored 2 tries against us today! Whereas our Wire prop just happened to be recalled to play for Wire reserves! They also loaned London the centre we had towards the end of last season for the full season!

@bladerunner There's today's game and Batley away and Bradford away where we've been leading at half time but lost. Yes three games too many I know.  But against Toulouse away Hunslet away Doncaster away and Oldham at home  we've been down at half time and won or (Oldham) drawn. I wasn't able to remember all this but it's just from a check online.

We are currently 9th, in touching distance of 5th and 6th place yes. But also only 1 place above the middle 8's relegation play offs. We have an extremely difficult run of fixtures coming up. Sheffield won today, a lot could depend if they go on a bit of a run. They are lower down the league than usual and have lost a couple of players but are still a decent side and signing Reilly seems to have given them a little bit ofva boost.

With the form of Fax recently and the run of games we face i just feel not getting 2 points was really disappointing.

@viking32 Point taken, but my comments about lack of match fitness, poor game management and poor coaching stand. The Toulouse result, while well earned, was early season.

Contrast the Toulouse result with scraping home against a poor Broncos side, let alone games we've lost from a winning position.

We're not improving as the season progresses, as you'd expect. No doubt the lack of squad options plays a major part in this.

However, you'd think that the failure to shut down teams and the lack of attacking options in many games this season would be a major concern to the coaching staff. If so, I see very little evidence of that.
