Barrow beat Doncaster today, meaning if Widnes manage to win our last 3 games, we have a good chance of making the playoffs

if we hadn’t blown the game against Doncaster, we’d be equal 5th now.

Doncaster have to play both Oldham & York. The threatening team is Halifax. If we win all 3 remaining games we should finish 6th. We will probably face Toulouse away.

Our points difference is the worst, however on form if we win our last 3 games I predict we will finish 5th and play Oldham away. The key game is Fax away, a genuine 4 pointer.

Widnes last 3 games: Hunslet H, Fax A London H

Featherstone last 3: Sheffield A Oldham H, Bradford A

Halifax: Barrow A, Widnes H Doncaster A

Doncaster: Oldham A York H Halifax H

My prediction if Widnes win all 3 is Widnes 28 points, Featherstone 26, Doncaster 24 and Halifax 23.

Thats based on Featherstone beating Sheffield, losing to Oldham and Bradford. Halifax losing all 3,  Doncaster beating Halifax at home but losing to Oldham and York.

Games dont always go on form/ league position but if we win all 3 and the rest go to form its 5th place. 6th place will be away to Toulouse or Bradford, most likely Toulouse.

@pauliewalnuts I think those 2 games were a point won  rather than lost on form.
But we should have won the Doncaster game against 11 men, if we’d won we could lose to Halifax and still make the playoffs.

Any fans of any team can say the same thing.If only.I know it's  not 1989 anymore but it's a sad conversation,Widnes aiming for sixth place in the second division at this stage.

@sinbad

They can, but I don’t think many can say they lost at home to a team with 11 players .

Good honest appraisal by the Fev coach.

Funny how that Academy inside pass from Gilly to Jacko still catch's teams out!!!

Mind you, we are watching so many SL games these days where you don't see that sort  of play at all!
