A great player, a true legend, honoured to have seen him play. When he moved to St Helens they (i was told) asked questions in Parliament. RIP Frank may you find eternal peace❤️❤️

Very sad to hear this. Frank was the one true "star" in the Widnes side when I started supporting in the late 1950's so he is special to me. He scored that marvellous try under the posts at Wembley in the Challenge Cup final against HKR in 1964 to take the game our way. The first trophy win I saw in person aged 14. While at Widnes he played for GB and toured down under. When he transferred to Saints, I think it was 1967, I was gutted for weeks. At Saints he went on to win more trophies in a very good side & of course captained the last winning ashes GB RL side on the 1970 tour. He was also a very successful coach after his playing days including at Widnes. RIP Frank & condolences to his family & friends.
A great player and loyal servant to the club for many years. He was an outstanding player and shone like a diamond in the Widnes team of his day. Also, the last GB captain to win the Ashes in Australia.
I have great memories of seeing him play, but his try in the 1964 CC final stands out for me.
Another one of those stars of yesterday, who would have been stars in the modern game. The name, Myler, will always be synonymous with the fantastic game of Rugby League.

As has been said, Frank was a great, great player for Widnes (mainly), Saints and GB. Probably the strongest stand off ever to play the game, he was my first Widnes hero in the 1950s. Was GB stand off in the 1960 World Cup winning team, toured Australia in 1962, was unbelievably overlooked in '66, and famously, was captain of the 1970 team, still the last GB team to win an Ashes series. He also, for many years, held the World Record number of tries in a season (34) for a stand off, scored in season 1957/8, I think, and this in a mediocre Widnes side.
When any all time great Widnes team is picked, Frank would be an automatic choice either at stand off or centre, for anyone who was lucky enough to see him play.
Like most great players of that era, he was also a true gentleman, and there wouldn't be many people anywhere who would have a bad word to say about him.
RIP, Frank, a true Widnes legend, we'll not see your like again.
