@sunny heard a rumour in a WhatsApp group I’m in. Was told to keep it quiet, but screw them.

Is this just a BS rumor or does it have any substance. I’ve said in the past I believe his heart is in the right place but I don’t think he is the man to take us back up to the super league

no matter your opinion on the super league that is ultimately were we should want to be playing

Pity James Rule isn't here to make one of his legendary statements.

Widnes Vikings can announce that CEO Phil Finney has left the club.

Phil explains “After almost 14 years the time is right for me and my family to have a change and pursue new opportunities and challenges.

“As a Widnesian and lifelong fan, it has been a privilege to work for the club I have always supported and something I will always cherish.

“I would like to thank all of the supporters, players, staff and sponsors I have had the pleasure of working with over the years and wish the club all the very best in the future.”

Widnes Vikings Board of Directors thanks Phil for his 14 years service with the club. We wish Phil well as he explores new opportunities in 2023.

Undoubtedly a success in the academy.

Not sure what decisions he made when CEO. Quite a few big decisions were made during his time, though: part time, academy closing, 4 coaching appointment, not fielding a full 17 at Whitehaven.

Wasn't his biggest fan, but sad to see a true Widnes fan leave the club.
