At least there’s no risk of getting KB back now!

I have spent £400 for me and the wife to watch Widnes, not some Warrington players who can’t make first team, I am not a fan at all.

i do not like duel reg at all. Fev would beat most teams last year but lost at home to Barrow. Why, because Leeds recalled most of their players

i hear what your saying but we aren’t in the position to not have help from bigger squads and if we can get some fringe players to fill gaps when injuries come along then it’s a must as we simply don’t have the strength in depth

The RFL have us on a limited cap this year due to recently being in admin. We only have a small squad, the simple fact is we need dual reg this season. Like I have said if 3 players help us to get to and win the grand final we won't need to worry about dual reg anymore.

With Widdop being out for so long I wonder if he will need a couple of games with us to get up to speed? The problem for me is with Owens, Craven and Smith I don't see him getting in our side, at least Wire can stick him in the reserves 🙂

There is s reference to us using their Performance personnel to help us. This maybe the advice of their conditioners (which, from the TS article we haven't got). This could be a plus for our youngsters and overall the deal could be a help this season.

I may be over-cautious but it seems to give Wire a pretty big involvement in our youngsters. Plenty of time to pick out our talent and bend their ears. While we are growing in confidence as a 'new' club we may have to swallow that but, in the back of my mind is the Uncle Maurice voice talking about merging with Warrington.

I guess that the only way open to us as supporters is to suck it and see, but to give our support first and foremost to our club. Our Board and management are, in my view, making great strides in the right direction no doubt encouraged by the weight of support that has made itself felt. Keep it up!!!

Wire reserves playing today.....Kibula on the bench, Brand playing, Latu and Doro starting props, Robson and Johnson who have been here both starting.

Guess they could be some of the names we could be seeing down here?

As has been said we will just have to wait and see, but you assume that there has been some dialogue as to who we may get and what each side will get out of it. As most have said we need DR this season. I'm sure we are still looking for extra players and I am hoping the RFL will relax the salary cap, as we submit a better than predicted financial position (assuming that is true!). The widening of reserve grade needs has clearly put some pressure on the player pool available, which will hopefully settle down.

One disappointment is that Tim has not been able to use his contacts in Australia to unearth a nugget or two from the various 2nd grade competitions. It maybe of course that its all down to pound notes. To tempt someone over they presumably need at least the equivalent of what they are earning there and a job, so not straightforward if things are tight! Maybe there is hope down the road if our finances end up as better than predicted!

We need a source of extra players. Leigh & Featherstonevhave done well out of it others not as successful. For it to work at its best we need season long deals. Brand at centre might be useful. Personally I would not go for Danny Walker. Props are our main priority though but not sure who Warrington could offer to us. Losing Jay Chapelhow to injury in pre season games has been a blow.

I may be a cynic, but maybe Warrington have dual regged with Widnes so that their players can train under a world renowned international coach to get experience and learn from his experience. 🙂

If it wasn’t Wire, it would’ve been someone else and fact is that Wire have a big squad. All other teams will do it, so we need to make use of these tools to be competitive.

DR also may bring in a few species to watch players turning out for the lower club.
