Featherstone have today announced that interested parties have until the 19th Dec (4 days!) to submitt expressions of interest. Back of a fag packet springs to mind, have they learnt nothing from the Salford ownership debacle.
These administrators arnt going to work for the club over the Christmas period either. Come back with a bid for the 2027 Championship, its the only sensible solution at this late stage.
If and when the successful bid is announced (which I think might be quite soon), I think you'll be surprised at how quickly players are announced.
yes but you will be minus 12 points - whereas the new salfraud are not !
You're probably right. To be honest as a Fev fan for over 50 years I'm not that bothered about that personally if we still have a team to follow.
It really makes no sense that Salford are not deducted 12 points, whether or not they are deemed to be number 1 in the table for determining fixtures and central distribution (if any!!!) - but this is rugby league. Does anything make sense?
I hope that Featherstone are able to field a team in 2026. Again, how long have the RFL known about the Club's financial situation? What contingency plans were put in place by the RFL to support a new Club, if one emerged?
