I’ve been told from someone at the club that he’s definitely signed, just strange we haven’t announced it yet.
Could be a delay on his visa from Yorkshire
Maybe the club is delaying the announcement until tomorrow to help to generate interest/increase ticket sales for Sunday.
Maybe the club don't want to distract from the game to come,semi final an all.
Big question here is ....if Richardson has indeed signed how does the gaffer shuffle things...got Owens playing 6 of late and has been quality....same as edge and Taylor in the centres ....going to be unbelievably harsh on someone making way ...I suspect that'll be Taylor with Owens taking his spot ...unless the gaffer gives him a back row role but we're stacked their ...some conundrum that
@cumbria-viking Owens has played well in the halves but they was both against teams we should be beating easily.
When the likes of Dons,Oldham and barrow come to our place we will deffo needs a proper halfback pairing, owens back to centre for me and Taylor to be 18th man it’s harsh as he has played very well but think atm owens is a better option to keep in the squad.
@threadx yeah agree it's harsh but like ye said jack's been good but think Richardson is in another level and a proper 6 ..almost certainly how it'll play out
@cumbria-viking Taylor limped off on about 70 minutes so may be injured for a week or so.
York have now stated publicly that Richardson is leaving them on loan but his future club has not been revealed by them. I read somewhere he has only played 3 games for York this year partly due to injury so may well not be match fit yet?

indeed so we need to keep our options open - could hayes play there for instance if allowed back for that game ?
Why didn't York send him to Newcastle (to me that's a worry)?

It is a fantastic signing. Anybody who has attended the last two games can see how much we need his place kicking prowess. This alone will make a significant impact in tight games as we approach the business end of the season.
@pauliewalnuts think theres an agreement between the two clubs on certain players that were available for Newcastle to take. ...hence why it's always been so many of half a dozen ...two being halves in Roberts and Williams ... Richardson was seen as the first alternative when hingano or Harris were unavailable...then they brought Cody hunter in and he's been bumped back
@pauliewalnuts I'll take that slightly back ...Williams was originally in the group York were happy to spend the whole season at Newcastle... supposedly officially be Newcastle players (even tho he's turned out for York aswel😂) .and like the rest would magically reappear at York if needed..he was alongside likes of Santi ... pemberton..antrobus ...cook..Jackson..ferrairra...Harrison etc etc etc ...was then a secondary list thunder could" take on loan" through the season....lipp...Clark ...Roberts ...taii.. ...smith ... vuniyayawa
