The IMG positions have been reported by "Love Rugby League".

We are at 19 on 1.9427

Salford 8th!!! on 3.2. I am speechless!

Bradford 14th on 2.5 with a non qualifying pitch size!

Featherstone 17th on 2.17 about to go bust? Players not paid etc

Halifax are 18th despite their financial problems last year!

I think our directors were expecting 16th so they will be fuming no doubt.

Ignore this post as Sky have Salford at 12th. So cannot say the other positions are accurate. However Bradford & Toulouse coveniently in the top 14 with London at 15. London gain 4 points!

That is one puzzle I can't fathom out. How do London gain 4 points, when nothing has changed at Wimbledon? Crowds are virtually the same, league position is poor. Okay they have recently received the Lockyer backing, but that was only in Sept (maybe late August), so 4pts. How does that work?

What this table relates to is the IMG performance allocation, based on position in the league over the past three seasons and added points for winning a trophy. Salford are eighth based on league position in 2023/2024/2025.

To be honest I just want to watch Widnes winning and doing well in the Championship now. There is no chance of us getting into Superleague with them bent RFL members in charge. This system made up to benefit the teams they want in Super league. Unless we get members from Widnes on the RFL board we are never getting into the promised land.

Well I don’t think they are the finishing ratings as all fixtures are not yet finished.

if salfraud do not drop out of the top 12 it will show what a complete farce it is

better off with a competitive team in the championship or whatever the tossers in charge call it - probably also runners league

What self respecting person would want to put their name to being an RFL person?

You can see why Sky are slipping out of the door quietly!!!

@pauliewalnuts I think the 4 point increase for London was in the IMG grading for this season (published in October 2024). Their indicative grading published in 2023 was 8.07 was increased to 12.65 this year.

It will be interesting to see how they score in the IMG gradings to be published on 16 October. Clubs submitted data to IMG during September, so maybe London will include the takeover in their submission.

It just shows the farce that is RFL in that we are even discussing the possibility (likelihood?) of a team finishing 12th in the Championship being promoted.

Not that I believe in IMG at all but I think this is the on-field criteria over the last 3 years- so in effect we are on average the 7th best Championship Team on the pitch in the last 3 years which I think is about right to be honest.

The full report includes all of the finances, youth systems etc- I'd like to think we would go higher than 19th.

Like others have said that table is only the on Field pillar ....others pillars are fandom...stadium... community and finances ....all.out rugby league only put that out coz it's the only pillar that they could work out as the other pillars are private ....from the chairman's comments a few weeks back I think the clubs expecting to be just outside the top 14 .... apparently improved in a few areas and going to get points back that were wrongly taken from us last year thanks to Mr Hamilton bodging our details...

It is obvious we are not going to be one of the chosen teams looking at our recruitment compared to other teams. Hopefully we are looking for players who want a job and play part time who are decent players. If we can be in the top 3 next season and win more games this will build our fan base. Why not go for the Grand Final with bonuses for players if reach the final and more if win it. Incentives help for success.

London have signed Campbell-Gillard, he was playing Origin and Internationals 2 years ago. They're not signing these players for the Championship.

@gpo1971 I think he could do well in the Championship.

@begg Unlikely, but not obvious. It is obvious to me that, with the finances in place and our current and potential fanbase, we can compete with the other teams vying for a SL place. Whether it is a poison chalice with the continuing uncertainty over funding for promoted teams, is another matter.

As has been said before, players will be signed on Championship contracts and, if we do get the nod next week, some of the current squad will be retained, but other players will have already been approached with potential SL contracts.

If we remain in the Championship for another season, let's hope that we can encourage some of those financial backers for our SL bid, to stay on board for 2026, so that we can improve the squad, with a minimum aim for a play-off position

Hope so Frank as everyone would love Superleague, especially with big crowds against Warrington, Wigan, Leigh and St Helens. Leeds and Bradford if chosen would also bring a few fans. Anyway I will try and enjoy whatever league we are in.
