What a joke that is. I am sure Featherstone, Toulouse , Batley & the team i believe should have won it Whitehaven are bemused to say the least. Absolutely ridiculous decision. Who decided this I wonder. Does anyone know?
I believe it’s because the award is for club of the year not team, and they’ve had a successful women’s team this year, their attendances have gone up and they got to Wembley.
They don’t mention they spent loads of money on their team and were expected to be challenging for promotion, but finished a very disappointing 9th behind us.
