Looks as if the NRL can see some merit in taking SL under its banner as a method of expanding the game globally.

Maybe they could take up the TWP/Ottawa bids along with NY etc and run with a NA league in parallel with SL Europe?

Maybe they could even make the sport play under the same rules for once and actually enforce them as they do in the NRL

If they do take over SL, what happens to the rest (majority) of the RL pyramid that underpins it?

As long as it doesn’t involve feeder teams or this West/East Conference thing, it can only be an improvement on Elstone et al.

Hopefully they would take us too! The NRL operates their feeder teams as self contained units. They are linked to their major clubs but as self contained units could stand alone. They are obviously funded by the main club but could operate on an annual allocation from the SL as we do now.

Fixtures could be managed by a Championship management group, costing less than £300,000 pa!
