Not being a Widnes resident can anyone tell me if Widnes schools play RL these days?

Been a while since i lived in the town, moved to Bolton in 1999, but even back then Fairfield ( now closed ) didnt bother with league and only played union. Think Wade deacon used to play League but not sure about anywhere else.

The amateur game is doing ok, West Bank have new facilities thanks to Stobarts ( i think ) and Halton are always strong. Throw in Moorfield and i think thats it for amateur clubs in Widnes. Not as sure about the Open age teams. My old team the Tigers are gone but for a town its size its not a bad number of junior clubs.
