If Sky get to a point where something else is more attractive, or cheaper, they will drop it. Every programme format has a shelf life and SL is, I guess, reaching its own.

I don't know so much, viewing figures aren't down significantly the last few years. As long as they hold up Sky will keep paying, RL viewing figures wise is great value for money for them.
Main problem there is that Super League is a Sky product with few competing tv channels. At a guess Sky will have SL tied up as a trade name, so a change would be complicated.
Every sport now seems to hav a "Super League" in their titles or Leagues.
Watch out for Womens Soccer SL. Growing popularity and aligned with Premiership clubs.
