Pies v Robins

Been back about half an hour from the Piedome.

Our tickets were for the away end, and the Robins' fans were bouncing from long before kick off, and remained similar throughout the contest!

Plenty in the teens / early twenties age group, which is defo summat we can't say about Swinton unfortunately!

As for the game itself, I think the scoreline flattered the hosts, with Peters' People in charge at all times.

Hubcap now nailed on for the CP Trophy Room, and I can't see 'em not getting to OT either. Can they do the biz there as well? Don't rule it out!

I am backing KR to win the treble, which sort of confirms how bad SL is atm.

If you look at the past treble winning teams, Bradford, Saints and Leeds, they were teams filled with great players.

Have the Robins no great players? Poss not yet, but they're currently loaded with very good ones like Morgue, Broadbent, and Lewis.

"Lewis has yet to show up in big games!" has been said more than once, and to date, it's true. But (in my opinion) he has the talent, and it's only a matter of time. The other two can slot into various positions in the backs, which is a quality in itself.

Their pack is awesome, bossing Pies last time out, and are the best in the comp from where I'm sat.

It'd be nice to have a new name on both the hubcap, and the big 'un, and our tickets for OT have long since been booked.

Rovers were well second best tonight, and yes, Mikey Lewis went missing again in a big game.

Big test of character for 'em now, especially with in form Saints heading to CP next week, and....

I'm sure their fans will be "Wakey for a day" on Sunday, and cheering for the Powell Patrol at the Piedome.

Interesting times await!
