I think that the 'Twickers' weekend or game is more around the business community supporting RU.
The tickets are bought by firms as 'give-aways' to clients and the weekend is really a sort of business meeting place. The game for many is a bonus.
Their normal supporters go, as do ours, to support the team or to enjoy the big match atmosphere.
@farnworth-viking tbf there can be no complaints about the ticket prices for the final. As I said earlier, I just don't think the big day out in London is a thing anymore.
@sandgroper that just sounds like a lazy, RL stereotype to me. What evidence is there for this? This weekends game was the first time since 2015 there was an attendance over 80k for it, so if it was just a business thing it would be a sell out every year.
What does inspire non-attendance is the massive TV coverage of our game generally. Just nip to the pub and watch in comfort with a pint or two!
Motorway travel is far from fun and Wembley generally is a rip off that you don't need, particularly if it isn't even your club competing!!!
