Great performance from the Hornets U16s this morning, beating previously unbeaten Golbourne 28-0 at Wilmere Lane.

It is a team mainly consisting of last seasons U15s Lancashire Cup holders.

Up the Red & Greens

For those who are interested, HFH beat Leigh Miners 24-6 in the final. The Lads were brilliant, 1-17, and it wouldn't have flattered them if they had scored 40+

A few of the Lads have signed at Saints and quite a few are training with the Vikings Elite Training Squad. Let's hope they all have a decent future in the game, the potential is there. If there are no Widnes Lads in the team, it ain't Widnes.

Sounds like they did really well. Let’s hope some of them play for us on the future.

What the Hornet's Club (players & staff) do restores my faith in the future of RL. 100's of kids look forward to their Sundays (as do the lads who play at West Bank & Moorfield) getting 'slutched up' all across the NW. The efforts of these people does not go un-noticed, and behind every Sunday game comes 2 nights training in the week. A Coaches lot, is a busy lot. God Bless their dedication to the Game.
