Home or Away?  You decide!

On the night

Matty Fozard, Joe Edge, Jay Chapelhow and Jake Maizen was in attendance to model the new playing shirts for the 2026 season, whilst women’s vice captain Jenny Moss also joined them on stage.

The kit launch evening was action packed including player interviews, fireworks and an engaging promotional video showcased to season ticket holders to encourage sales on the evening.

The night felt like an event, theatre was created something the Vikings have desperately lacked in seasons past to engage supporters with the vision of the season and the long term future of the club.

It was an indication of what could be produced working closely with new kit supplier Debeau.

Season ticket sales

Following Monday’s kit launch, Widnes announced that over 1,000 season tickets had now been sold ahead of the 2026 season.

A new flexible season ticket is soon to be launched in hope to target supporters that are unable to commit to a yearly season ticket. Speaking to the Widnes Rugby Chat Podcast, General Manager Tim Holmes confirmed further details will be imminent, he went onto say.

“The flexible season ticket is in the plans and is imminent for our supporters that can’t commit to every home game, we want to maximise the value of a season ticket to as many people as possible.”

The new community club season ticket has now also been launched in hope to attract and keep as many of our juniors aged 1-13 around the town committed to watching Widnes Vikings.

All community clubs have been made aware of the new package and after a positive response it is estimated at least 200 season tickets will be sold through the initiative with hope in seasons to come the popularity of the offer will increase.

The changes to the season ticketing structure is a positive move by Widnes, demonstrating a desire to grow the support base around the town once more.
