With our first game a little over a week away I would have thought that the club would have brought out an early sign up for Widnes TV by now

i hope they get it set up and with a good system in place I can’t see why the members signed up wouldn’t go up throughout the season

As i passed through AGAIN yesterday I called and asked and the answer was "should be up and running next week" But as you all know WRLC that could mean next ……….  (fill in your own time)

Yes fingers crossed it’s set up before the season starts

I don’t know why they haven’t set up an early membership option as that would help go towards set up costs

What we all want to know is, will Gary McGrath be available to commentate on the Batley game?😉

Don't think so

On the other side I think most of the equipment will be in place so not to many costs to set up

To start i think are media lads will do most of the work with the odd guest i.e. Steve Roberts and may be Flash on ?????

Just watched the clubs twitter advert for Widnes TV and on seeing a close up of Logan Tomkins was struck by his resemblance to Denis Betts!

Although Denis was a poor coach he was a great player and so too is our new signing!

Roll on Sunday.

Widnes Vikings can confirm that pre-orders for Widnes TV are now being taken, ahead of the official launch on Wednesday 5th February following a great response to the club’s initial survey.

Subscriptions will be priced at £50 for a year, working out at less than £1 a week to ensure you never miss a minute of Vikings action this season.

The first 50 supporters who subscribe can gain access to Widnes TV for just £40 by entering the code ‘WTV20” when signing up to the service.

Included in your Widnes TV subscription will be full match replays of all first team fixtures during the 2020 campaign, complete with commentary, giving you the opportunity to re-watch all of the action. This will also enable supporters of the club who no longer live within the town or the country to access full game replays, something that isn’t currently available.

Full match replays of the club’s Scholarship, Academy and Reserves fixtures, without commentary, will also be uploaded to Widnes TV so supporters can keep a close eye on the development of our future first team stars.

Taking into account supporter feedback from the initial survey, there will also be behind the scenes content leading into first team fixtures and exclusive interviews with first team players. Through this content, you will be able to gain an insight into the preparations of the first team squad, from training right through to the full-time hooter.

All first team full match replays will be available on the Wednesday following Sunday fixtures, giving you the opportunity to re-watch the action or catch up on any fixtures you may have missed.

The club’s decision to move forward with Widnes TV is based upon the brilliant response to our survey, in which over 80% of those taking part answered that they would subscribe to the service. It also gives supporters the opportunity to gain an exclusive insight into the club, while having access to full match replays of all games, from Scholarship right through to First Team.

By creating this service, the club is giving supporters who are unable to attend fixtures the opportunity to watch full matches, something they have been unable to do in the past.

Widnes TV will be hosted by Vimeo On Demand, a service that allows you to view our videos online and through the Vimeo app, giving supporters the ability to also connect to, and watch on, their TV, phone or tablet.

Supporters can now pre-order Widnes TV at the below link, with payment not being taken until the service goes live at midday on Wednesday 5th February.

The official launch of the service will take place on Wednesday 5th February, which is when the first instalments of Widnes TV will be live, including a full match replay from the Vikings’ Round 1 fixture away to Oldham.

A full FAQs piece can be found below, explaining how you can sign up to the new on demand service and how you can view videos through the service.
