One thing about Mickey Higham is that presumably he would have excellent contacts across the NW, as someone who has played for Saints, Wire, Leigh and Wigan: maybe fringe players could be brought in from there to try and improve us?
Not as a number one no. Not in the Pro Game to my knowledge anyway.
But he has been mentioned in dispatches so just thinking about some positives....

I understand that the far more knowledge posters on here want a new coach right now. But I am firmly of the opinion that we have to stick with what we got, have until we can find an experienced coach.
We need someone who is a proven leader/man-manager who will get the best from our players and command respect. That would rule out someone who was a great player but has limited (or nil) coaching experience.

When Finney was interviewed on Merseyside he did say, they were going to make a shortlist and interview them all, and it would probably be the beginning of June before they decided who it would be. So hopefully we will hear something in the next 2 weeks.

No, the club doesn’t have a ‘media department’. It’s a very small semi-professional sports club without 3 full rime employees. The size of business doesn’t warrant a media department and can’t afford one. I don’t recall the club saying it was going to tell everybody when they have a short list or who is going to be on it. Where did you hear that they would ? I’m guessing it wasn’t the media department ?
The Shortlist came from an article/tweet by a journalist John Davidson initially.
Finney did say on Radio about 3? weeks ago that he was looking end of May start of June.
Feel personally it should have been done quicker.

Im still a supporter however
Exactly RV. A small town, part-time rugby club is what we are, hardly Manchester Utd or Barcelona.We tried that in Super League, pretending to be big time with CEO, marketing manager and a plethora of coaching staff and various hangers on.

Yet we can afford a CEO, he should be the media department and everything else that needs addressing.
