Four Widnes games in the 2020 Championship season have been selected to be shown live on the RFL’s OuRLeague app.
Three of the games – York, Dewsbury and Halifax – are all away from home and have had their kick-offs delayed to 6.15pm for broadcast.
The fourth game, at home to Bradford, was already scheduled to be played on the Wednesday night at 7.45pm and that remains the case.
Don’t forget, if you download the OuRLeague app or visit the OuRLeague website, by signing up and selecting you’re a Widnes fan, helps the club gain rewards in central funding from the RFL.
Fans have already expressed their frustration at the moves, which means travelling back late on a Sunday night, particularly from York.
Games affected:
Sunday March 1 – Dewsbury Rams – Away – 6.15pm
Wednesday April 15 – Bradford Bulls – Home – 7.30pm
Sunday April 19 – Halifax – Away – 6.15pm
Sunday May 3 – York – Away – 6.15pm
Let us know your thoughts on the changes below, and whether it will affect your decision to travel or not.
Yes this makes it much less likely we will go to the away games.
I live abroad so any tv (or App) coverage is great news
I am looking forward to the new Widnes TV channel and will definitely be signing up
