Rumour Mill
There has been little in the way of incoming rumours so far. Jay Chapelhow is set to make a return to the Vikings from Oldham, having originally left the club at the end of 2020. It will be the first time he hasn’t played alongside brother Ted, who is remaining with the Roughyeds.
Dec Patton is set to be announced as joining North Wales Crusaders, while Ben Condon is tipped to take up a Super League contract with Catalans a possible destination.
Hopes of bringing in Jon Bennison or Will Roberts on a permanent basis after they impressed on loan appear remote, with both set to earn full-time Super League contracts elsewhere for 2026. Bennison is on York’s radar and Roberts too is interesting them if St Helens don’t offer him a new deal.
- Jay Chapelhow (confirmed)
- Sitaleki Akauola
- Jon Bennison (signed for York)
- Will Roberts
- Mo Agoro (signed for Hunslet)
